This picture was taken about 12 years ago. The man on the left is LCpl Ramon Johnson of Atlanta, GA.
This picture was taken at his first Miami Hurricanes game in NC when they played UNC. They lost but it’s ok. He was a diehard Canes fan and never got to goto a game. My dad came up to visit (diehard Canes fan) and we had an extra ticket. So we brought him with us. Ramon had already deployed, I had not. So my dad was terrified. I remember “sleeping” in the backseat of my dads truck as we drove back to base and Ramon comforting my dad telling him “it’s gonna be fine. He’ll be fine!”
He was killed on 10/13/2010 in Afghanistan when he was struck by an IED.
Not a day goes by that I don’t think about him.
Fair winds and following seas, brother. Semper Fidelis.

The good ol days. That’s me on the right with my team. Believe it or not, we were pinned down behind that wall for about 3 or 4 hours. Just a random wall in the middle of nothing. Thankful for that wall.
And the Hellfire that broke contact.
Off to the PIT…wish me luck.
I had to delete it from YT. Obviously.
And it’s 4 minutes too long to post here. I have a meeting with locals on Monday and I’m going to try and get them to allow me unlimited upload lengths. 1,000 paid subscribers seems an impossible task to unlock that level of access 🙄
So in the meantime: here’s that video. Spread it far and wide!!
